Principal's Message
Welcome to Salt Fork North Elementary:
It is an honor to serve as the principal of Salt Fork North. The 2018 - 19 school year is my third year in this position and with each year I have become more passionate about the opportunities that our school has to offer. We have students that are happy and eager to learn. We have a staff that is driven to help us reach our mission of ensuring excellence in learning for all students. We are part of a district that is committed to supporting its schools, staff, and students. We have a community that is involved and motivated to see its school succeed. These factors provide Salt Fork North with a solid foundation for achieving excellent results.
I am excited about what the future holds for Salt Fork North. Over the past two years, I have had many conversations with a variety of stakeholders about how we see Salt Fork North in the future. Although meaningful change takes time, with each school year we work to implement small changes to help better serve the needs of our students. One big focus for the 2018 - 19 school year includes increasing the level of supports for students. We strongly believe it is necessary to set high expectations for our students, provide the appropriate supports, and give our students the confidence to excel. This year we want to create a systematic process for identifying students that need support and building time into the school day for providing those supports. Like most initiatives, this will take time to get just right, but we are confident that in the end it will provide more opportunities for our students.
Throughout the school year, I look forwarded to getting to know all the Salt Fork North students a little better. I also hope I have the opportunity to speak with a majority of our parents. It is always my goal to develop as many positive relationships as possible. Please feel to reach out if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
